I can't wait to help you on your journey!
Personal Statement
Does it feel like your life is being driven by a voice that is never satisfied? Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, an eating disorder or the heavy weight of trauma, it can feel like you're constantly performing yet never feeling quite safe. You might find yourself using avoidance, control, vices or food just to get through the day. As a certified EMDR therapist, I specialize in helping the brain and body process the underlying stressors - whether from a specific trauma or years of anxiety - that fuel these behaviors. I would describe myself as kind, patient and dedicated to helping others. It is my goal to be an educator, a support, a role model and an inspiration to my clients. In therapy, I hope to help my clients to believe in themselves and their resources within themselves.
My approach is collaborative and trauma informed. We won't just talk about the symptoms; we will work to heal the root causes so you can feel more present and confident in your daily life. I have walked in your shoes. I know how it feels to be terrified of my emotions and obsessed with utilizing poor tools. I hope you find my website informative and helpful!
My practice includes individuals, families and couples. I have a passion for working with teens and young adults! I have specialized in working with eating disordered individuals since 1995. I also have expertise in adoption related issues.
I love helping all of my clients, whether it be improving their relationships, teaching healthy coping skills, educating them on communication skills, assisting them in improving their self-esteem or helping them to develop a healthy relationship with food and their bodies.
My experience enables me to offer effective outpatient, individualized, psychological care. I treat a number of mental health disorders, and provide a neutral ground to individuals, families, and couples.

I am a highly-qualified professional with over 25 years of experience in private practice, hospital, residential and independent outpatient settings. Areas of focus include:
I promise to be there for you every step of your journey. My goal is to help you grow from your struggles, heal from your depression and pain, and move forward to where you want to be in your life.
My focus is to help individuals heal, energize, and become aware of their inner strengths. I achieve this by providing a neutral safe space, listening to your concerns, and customizing a treatment plan.

Depression, fear, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives. Through counseling and treatment, I am able to help you recover motivation, perspective, and joy that you once had in your life.

Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances. Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger after post-traumatic events. I am certified in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR). This treatment alleviates the distress associated with traumatic memories.

Relationship counseling can be beneficial to couples who are looking to strengthen their emotional connection in all stages of their relationship. Psychotherapy sessions are held with both couples and individuals in a supportive place to discuss issues and solutions to better strengthen your relationship.

Eating disorders are painful for those who suffer. Preoccupation with food or calories and fear about weight gain can be exhausting. Body dysmorphia and poor self-image can all be improved with specialized treatment. It's time to love yourself again!!
